Dr. Jackson's expertise and research is in acquired neurogenic disorders of communication.  She has authored or coauthored more than 50 presentations and papers aphasia, dementia, and other disorders affecting speech and language in adults and children. 

At CSUN, Dr. Jackson continues to research issues related to brain, language and speech.  During 2009-2010, she will also be working on several research projects, including "Communication and cognitive considerations for implantable hearing prosthetic devices". (supported by CSUN grant.  She is a faculty member of the Linguistics program at CSUN, and is the Coordinator for CDS Graduate Admissions.
