Interior Design

Program Description: Situated in  the newest and one of the most active design environments in the nation, the CSUN Interior Design program offers a wide range of career possibilities in both residential and contract areas. In addition to theoretical courses, the program features "hands on" design experiences in well-equipped studios. Computer Assisted Design is included in the curriculum.

Accreditations: The Department of Family & Consumer Sciences, including Interior Design, is accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

FCS Interior Design Majors may also earn a Minor in Art.

Interior Design Enrichment Affiliation for Students (IDEAS); American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) (Advisor: Victoria Brinn Feinberg).

Interior Design Library and Resource Room (SQ207A): The FCS facilities, located in Sequoia Hall includes a resource library/workroom for the exclusive use of Interior Design students and faculty. The resource library/workroom houses a blueprint machine, engineering copier, CAD plotter, shrink wrap equipment, drafting tables, and other aids for the production of studio projects.
