Through research and evaluation technologies for food quality assessment, the Marilyn Magaram Center has performed community service while educating future professionals since 1991. Students also study the effects of biological and chemical treatments on foods. Outreach projects include visits to low-income communities to share money-saving shopping tips and show families how to make nutritious and inexpensive meals. (Family and Consumer Sciences)
